Job purpose

Shredfast, Inc.’s full-time Accountant or Full Charge Bookkeeper will be based out of our facility in Airway Heights, WA. This position will work under the supervision of company ownership. The Accountant or Full Charge Bookkeeper plays a key role for the company by performing accounting and bookkeeping duties. This role will be responsible for accounts payable, reconciliations, processing payroll, and assisting with all accounting/bookkeeping needs.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Full cycle accounts payable:
    • Enter and post vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
    • Process bi-weekly check runs.
    • Reconcile monthly vendor statements.
    • Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
    • Maintain vendor relationships, vendor files and records including: Insurance certificates and W-9 forms.
    • Consolidation of packing slips, P.O.’s, and vendor invoices
  • Maintain and reconcile company credit cards & receipts.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicle registrations.
  • Process biweekly payroll in Paylocity:
    • Provide biweekly payroll email including updates to owner and management
    • Connect with Human Resources on monitoring electronic timecards, benefits deductions, and PTO and leave requests.
  • Assist outside CPA firm with preparing tax returns and monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Assist other accounting and support staff: A/R Clerk and Front Desk Receptionist
  • Create financial statements and related financial reports for owner, as needed.
    • Cost accounting reports
  • Maintain a coherent system of accounts, with a supporting filing system
  • Other duties as assigned

Shift Schedule:

Monday to Friday / 7:00am – 3:30pm (non-exempt) for Full-Time position

Requirements:
  • 3 years or more of accounting or work-related experience
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Manufacturing or construction background preferred.
  • QuickBooks and Sage Business Works experience a plus
  • Self-motivated; able to work alone and/or under supervision.
  • Must work well with others.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
