REPORTS TO: COO

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the financial records of the Company. Responsible for all accounting activities. Prepares financial analyses and reporting. Provides payroll, benefits and HR administration. Provides HR/Accounting administrative support for Company’s operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial/Bookkeeping:

  • Responsible for all financial procedures and records
  • Maintenance of banking accounts and invoices (including A/P and A/R)
  • Maintain subsidiary ledgers as needed, including journal entries for adjustments to the general ledger
  • Maintain chart of accounts, trial balances, financial reports, P&L and Balance Sheets
  • Manage accounting, and collections
  • Develop and apply fiscal controls and procedures
  • Preparation for year-end financial audit
  • Administer payroll, tax, and personnel benefits thru payroll service
  • Administration, preparation and payment of state and local sales and use tax
  • Insure we adhere to state and federal reporting and document requirements
  • Communicate regularly with COO and President, providing relevant financial information as requested

Human Resource Administrator:

  • Administer HR policies in accordance with employee manual and State and Federal requirements
  • Primary contact to insurance providers, evaluating options and make selection recommendations
  • Implement, recommend or advise of needed processes or changes to optimize the functionality of the organization

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Reports directly to the COO but performs daily functions with minimal supervision

EXPERIENCE / CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principals
  • Minimum 4 years of experience, full charge of bookkeeping, preferably at a manufacturing company
  • Computer proficiency, including a comprehensive understanding of QuickBooks, payroll, word-processing and Excel
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Flexible and collaborative
  • Excellent organizational and office skills
  • Able to manage many concurrent tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound decision-making ability
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and the general public
  • Strong character
  • Open and willing to discuss issues and opinions

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $70,000.00 per year

  • Associate degree (Preferred)
