SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Generalist will complete the daily functions of the Human Resources department including orientation, compensation, generating reports and applying company policies and practices. This position will also complete payroll processing for employees and contractors while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Completes administrative workflow of the HR department for various sites within their designated locations and maintains related records.
· Ensures the timely onboarding of new employees for open positions, including but not limited to background checks, benefit enrollment, and new hire documents.
· Completes bi-weekly payroll processing for employees and contractors accurately and timely.
· Maintains employee records ensuring completion and accuracy of detail such as employee information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure and other key details.
· Assists with the administration of employee records in the HRIS including benefit changes, name changes, tax exemption changes, address changes, etc.
· Conduct new hire orientation and ensure that the employee is transitioned to their supervisor on their first day of employment.
· Performs routine task required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to HRIS maintenance, training and development, leaves, resignation, terminations, discipline matters, and exit interviews.
· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings and terminations.
· Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and staff, related to complex and/or sensitive matters, including supervisor when needed.
· Assists in the development, review, and disbursement of HR procedures and policies.
· Maintains compliance with the HR Audit requirements and obtains a passing score.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
· Attends all required company education seminars/trainings and participates in team/company meetings.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The HR Generalist must have excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written), organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office and ability to utilize online HRIS platforms. The Human Resources Generalist must have knowledge of Employee and Contractor pay. The HR Generalist must also understand and follow HIPAA compliance.
Education:
A High school diploma with experience noted below is required. A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a closely related field is preferred.
Certification:
None Required
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years in a previous HR related role.
Background:
Must pass all Federal and State background checks. Other background checks will be conducted for licensures and certifications according to company policy.
Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
