Medical Courier

The Medical Specimen Courier is responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens and lab supplies while providing excellent service to our clients and staff. The Medical Specimen Courier is responsible for ensuring all specimens are picked up at the correct stops and handled in the appropriate temperature requirements. Company car is provided to complete your routes, however, you must have your own reliable vehicle to report to work at 2501 E Southern Ave Ste 12 Tempe, AZ 85282.

Hours

This is a full-time position: Mon-Fri 2:00pm-10:30pm, and you must be available on some Saturdays from 11:30 until 5pm to do an occasional rotation shift. If you are not available on Saturdays, please don't apply.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Load all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickups such as large cooler, ice, and supplies
  • Complete daily pick up schedule in a timely manner
  • Deliver all daily picks to the main location at the end of your shift
  • Handle all bags of specimens and lab samples in safe and efficient manner
  • Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
  • Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up
  • Work directly with dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed
  • Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed
  • Communicate clearly with the lab and dispatcher
  • Assist with warehouse management, such as unloading containers, sorting, counting, receiving into inventory management system and stock in the warehouse
  • Maintain a safe and clean work space and environment

Requirements:

  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Able to lift over 60 pounds
  • Must be an insured driver
  • Must be at least 18 years' old
  • Previous driver/courier experience
  • Customer service experience is a plus
  • Very punctual with strong time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve customer issues
  • Ability to reach up and down to reach pickup locations
  • Ability to navigate stairs
  • Ability to enter and exit vehicle repeatedly
