Job DescriptionJob Description

Medical Courier/Warehouse Assistant

The Medical Courier is responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens and lab supplies while providing excellent service to our clients and staff. Company car is provided to complete your routes, however, you must have your own reliable vehicle to report to work at 2501 E Southern Ave Suite 12 in Tempe. The Medical Courier is responsible for ensuring all specimens are picked up at the correct stops and handled in the appropriate temperature requirements. The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for inventory, including but not limited to pulling inventory, stocking, unpacking inventory, and utilizing the inventory management system. The majority of your time would be as a courier, the warehouse position would be just several hours each week.

Hours

This is a full-time position: Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm (or later, depending upon completion of route). Occasional availability on Saturdays from 11:30am-5pm is an added bonus. (This would be rare.)

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Load all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickups such as large cooler, ice, and supplies
  • Complete daily pick up schedule in a timely manner
  • Deliver all daily picks to the main location at the end of your shift
  • Handle all bags of specimens and lab samples in safe and efficient manner
  • Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
  • Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up
  • Work directly with dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed
  • Communicate clearly with the lab and dispatcher
  • Assist with warehouse management, such as unloading containers, sorting, counting, receiving into inventory management system and stock in the warehouse
  • Maintain a safe and clean work space and environment
  • Monitor current stock level and expirations
  • Ensure all orders are processed efficiently and that the delivers of materials meets customers' expectations and business timelines
  • Ship and fulfill customer orders in inventory systems
  • Assist with unloading containers, sorting, counting, receiving into inventory management system and stock in the warehouse.
  • Participate in scheduled inventory counts
  • Assist with warehouse management, including working Saturdays where required

Requirements:

  • Must have a clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
  • Previous driver/courier experience
  • Able to lift over 60 pounds
  • Must be an insured driver
  • Must be at least 18 years' old
  • Customer service experience is a plus
  • Very punctual with strong time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve customer issues
  • Ability to navigate stairs
  • Ability to enter and exit vehicle repeatedly
