PURPOSE:

The Employment Advisor plays a critical role in ensuring Arion is attracting and preparing potential and current candidates for employment and growth within Arion. The Employment Advisor will follow the Arion Pathways strategy of recruitment and retention. The Employment Advisor will collaborate with department manager(s) on a weekly basis as current and future hiring needs are identified.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field desired (years of experience may substitute for education)
  • Experience and education in the field of Human Resources, recruitment, on-boarding, or a related field preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Satisfactory background check
  • Able to acquire a DPS fingerprint card

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Cultivate an environment of welcome and compassion to incoming employees
  • Hire incoming employees and complete new employee file
  • Ensure applicant meets requirements for employment
  • Utilize applicant and employee tracking cloud-based software
  • Inform applicants of training and pre-employment requirements
  • Maintain all records, logs, and other documentation as required by company and funding source policy and procedure.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and protect confidentiality of member, staff, and agency information.
  • Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • The ability to lift items up to 30
  • Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of
  • Ability to exercise restraint and self-control in potentially high stress, challenging situations

WORK ENVIROMENT:

This job operates as a remote tele-work position, as Arion Care Solutions does not provide a separate workplace at a corporate location. Working from home requires a high degree of discipline and the ability to have a space dedicated to work in the home and provision for childcare if appropriate
