Summary:
As a Product Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining quality processes across the organization, particularly with respect to incoming product and production.
You will work collaboratively with Design, Manufacturing and Test Engineering groups, as well as Supply Chain and others, to help ensure that Guardian Agriculture delivers a high-quality product that meets customer expectations.
This is a very hands-on role in a small, rapidly growing company where everyone chips in to get the job done.
What you will do:
- Manage Incoming QC and conduct QC inspections
- Setup & manage calibrated equipment system
- Manage Non-Conforming Material / Material Review Board process
- Manage Deviation and Rework processes
- Perform quality reviews of engineering drawings
- Perform quality reviews of production documentation
- Work with Mfg. Engineering to establish in-process controls/tests
- Work with Test Engineering to establish final test processes
- Assist with document control administration (ECO processing)
- Participate in Supplier qualifications / assessments
To be successful you will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with metrology / inspection equipment and techniques
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office / Google Docs
- Strong organizational, communication and prioritization skills
- Hands-on work ethic and ego-free collaboration skills
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with use of a portable CMM Arm
- Familiarity with robotics, drones or aviation
