General Summary

This role will provide leadership support for both the QA and R&D functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all sites, as well as overseeing the quality management systems, training programs, and documentation processes.


Collaborate in the implementation and execution of both new and existing projects. As part of a team this position will work to identify and specify the manufacturing processes for new or improved products and support the on-floor work involved in validating commercialization of products.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for collaborating on implementation and modifications to programs with other members of the QA and R&D team.
  • Be responsible for creating a strong culture of quality through process execution and enhancement, including advocating for quality throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Investigate root cause for and non-conformance events and drive correction actions.
  • Manage a highly effective team, includes providing coaching, feedback, and support to build a highly performing and engaged team with a deep bench of expertise and knowledge.
  • Provide the quality team with all necessary tools, training, equipment and technology required to be successful.
  • Escalate opportunities quickly, accurately, and to the right audience so they can be resolved efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with business and R&D leaders to set vision, prioritize innovation & renovation agenda for team to enable business growth.
  • Translate business objectives into strategic and tactical project goals and objectives for team.
  • Develop, scale-up and flawless execute innovations to hit product development targets.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationship to enable open-dialogs, great innovation, quality, cost certainty and forward-thinking partnerships.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a science or related field required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of work experience in quality assurance/product development in Food CPG industry. With at least 5 years of team development/management experience required.
  • Familiarity with FSMA, SFCR and Health Canada requirements
  • Proficient in building and maintaining Global Food Safety Initiative such as SQF.
  • Ensure our facility and products comply with all regulatory and certification requirements including FDA, Kosher, Non-GMO, and Organic standards.
  • Proficiency in food safety quality system manufacturing processes, quality assurance principles and food manufacturing.
  • Relevant experience with government regulatory requirements including GMP, in food and beverage manufacturing (USDA, FDA, etc.)
  • The role demands a creative and strategic thinker who can build, lead, and inspire a team, as well as collaborate with external partners to achieve marketing goals.
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office programs to include Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload in a multitasking environment, short-term tactical along with longer term strategic activities.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and have the ability to interact positively and motivate others.
  • Exceptional communication skills; promoting teamwork and a positive work environment. Strong ability to communicate with all levels of the organization from the production floor to the executive office; strong interpersonal, leadership, & organizational skills.
  • Maintain regular, consistent attendance & punctuality. Must have a flexible schedule that may require occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.

Location: On-site – Louisville CO

Compensation is based on level of experience, other relevant experience, and requirements of the position. The range provided serves only as a guideline and does not automatically qualify all candidates (internal or external) for the high end of the range.

$115,000 to $140,000
