WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our Supply Chain team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing the complexities of a refrigerated supply chain, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relations. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess strong analytical skills, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our supply chain processes.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Data Analysis: Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, with a focus on maintaining product freshness and quality.
  • Inventory Management: Support inventory tracking, stock level analysis, and forecasting to ensure optimal inventory levels of refrigerated products and reduce excess or obsolete stock.
  • Cold Chain Logistics: Help coordinate transportation and logistics activities, including scheduling temperature-controlled shipments, tracking deliveries, and resolving any transportation issues related to refrigerated goods.
  • Procurement Support: Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers, obtaining quotes, and preparing purchase orders for ingredients and materials critical to our beverage production. Participate in supplier negotiations and relationship management.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the supply chain team to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality throughout the supply chain.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance metrics, such as inventory turnover rates, order accuracy, and delivery times.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as production, quality control, and customer service, to ensure alignment and effective communication within the supply chain.
  • Project Assistance: Participate in special projects and initiatives related to the cold chain and refrigerated beverage distribution as assigned by the supply chain management team.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain concepts and principles, especially related to refrigerated goods, is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.

Physical Demands:

  • Occasional standing, walking, sitting, handling products, climbing.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
