Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLife University is seeking a driven and organized individual to serve as the Office Manager for the Housing and Residence Life Department. This position is responsible for customer service for incoming students, current residents, parents, stakeholders, and the Life University community. The Office Manager also supports the Division of Student Affairs and works closely with the advocacy desk.


Responsibilities

  • Provide exemplary levels of customer service to all students, staff, residents, campus partners, and stakeholders.
  • Proactive in addressing student issues and concerns.
  • Supports operations by maintaining office systems and supervising housing office assistants.
  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures, preparing payroll, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
  • Respond to correspondence with the housing inbox account.
  • Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries and manage outgoing mail.
  • Perform receptionist duties: greet visitors and answer direct phone calls.
  • Remain current with all housing and residence life procedures.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated track record of superior customer service.
  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in appearance and demeanor; ability to share and impart knowledge and reasoning to others under stressful conditions.
  • Strong attention to details, ability to organize work and perform duties with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills, listening skills and team building and the ability to think critically.
  • Knowledge of general office policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • May require availability for overtime hours during peak periods.
