RELATES CLOSELY WITH: CHILDREN’S MINISTRY TEAM

CLASSIFICATION: PART-TIME/10 hrs per week

PAY RANGE: $23-$25

WestGate Church, a non-denominational, multisite church situated in one of the most diverse and influential regions of the world—the Silicon Valley—is seeking an energetic, skilled Kids Club Administrator to serve children and families through the Kids Club Program.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or over two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Positive, professional, self-starter with the ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities and projects with minimal direction.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality, handling situations with discretion, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Exhibits personal and professional discernment and discretion.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise volunteer teams managing behind-the-scenes projects.
  • Develop and maintain leader rosters, ensuring all leaders and helpers have updated lists.
  • Maintain a database of families assisted by Kids Club.
  • Handle ministry needs, including forms, parent announcements, flyers, signs, and banners.
  • Collaborate with the Director to update and create new promotional materials.
  • Plan and execute events such as Leader Training, special events for Kids Club children at the school site, promotional events for Kids Club within the church, and outreach events targeting the parents of Kids Club children and the community.
  • Assist ministry teams in planning their monthly team-building gatherings.
  • Assist the Kids Club Director with recruiting and training new volunteers.
  • Develop effective recruitment and training strategies and programs.
  • Support the training of new volunteers.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Director of Children's Outreach.
  • Attend weekly Kids Club sessions at Anderson Elementary from October to May.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Operate in a professional office or church environment with standard equipment like computers, printers, filing cabinets, and telephones.
  • Lead in settings with various equipment, cables, stage lights, loud sounds, and visual stimuli.
  • Work typically occurs Sunday-Thursday, with occasional Fridays, Saturdays, or evenings as needed.
