The Location: Hale Makua Kahului
Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility.
The Position:
We're looking for a passionate Restorative Nurse Manager to oversee, supervise, and evaluate all operations in the Restorative Nursing Program. Performs the duties in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations as well as the policies, procedures and core values of the company.
- Supervise, lead and mentor all employees within the Restorative Nursing Program Department.
- Conducts assessment for candidates for admission to RNP. Reviews existing care plans and MDS assessments. Initiates plans of care for the residents admitted to RNP. Sets and monitors goals.
- Responsible for coordination of facility efforts during OHCA and other government surveys (i.e. CMS, OSHA, AG, OIG, etc.) in relation to medical records/health information. Collaborates with PI committee and management team in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies. Conducts with necessary training related to plans of correction.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Hawaii required.
- At least three (3) years' experience in a hospital or a long term care facility.
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
- First Aid and CPR preferred. (can be done in-house).
