Location:

Hale Makua Health Services is a non-profit organization based in Maui, dedicated to improving the quality of life for our residents through compassionate and personalized health services. Our Kahului facility is a 254-bed nursing home focused on enriching the lives of Maui's Elders.


Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Restorative Nurse Manager to lead, supervise, and assess all aspects of our Restorative Nursing Program. This role requires adherence to current federal, state, and local regulations, as well as our company’s policies and core values.

  • Oversee, guide, and mentor all staff within the Restorative Nursing Program Department.
  • Conduct assessments for potential admissions to the Restorative Nursing Program. Review existing care plans and MDS assessments, and initiate care plans for new residents. Establish and monitor goals.
  • Coordinate facility responses during OHCA and other governmental surveys (including CMS, OSHA, AG, OIG, etc.) related to medical records and health information. Collaborate with the Performance Improvement committee and management to develop and implement corrective action plans for identified deficiencies. Provide necessary training associated with these plans.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Hawaii is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting.
  • Preferred supervisory experience.
  • Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (available in-house).
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred (available in-house).
