Job Overview

The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and occupational health and safety standards. The Manager, Compliance and EH&S role requires expereince in Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Compliance as well as a solid understanding of Operations to address the processing and throughput of materials within our recycling facilities. This position will be based out of the Fall River, MA facility, with some limited travel to other US facilities as needed.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EPA regulations
  • Implement safety policies and procedures to promote a safe work environment
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Provide training on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, CPR, and first aid
  • Monitor and Evaluate Operations, including materials management, Downstream vendor management
  • Ensure R2 compliance pertaining to our Electronics waste recycling, and complete audits annually to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with facility(s) recycling permit, hazardous waste transporter permits and work with issuing authorities to renew upon renewal dates.
  • Assist in the development of training programs related to environmental health and safety
Requirements:

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field a plus.
  • Experience in conducting root cause analysis for incidents or accidents
  • Ability to fabricate reports on safety metrics and compliance data
  • Strong operational skills
