Job Summary:
- The Director of Cardiovascular Service organizes, directs, and supervises the functions of the Cardiovascular Service line including the operational oversight of the Cath Lab, Endoscopy, Vascular, and Cardiac Rehabilitation.
- This includes following policy and procedures, maintaining safe staffing levels, maintaining sufficient supplies and equipment, and managing efficient patient throughput.
- Develops, implements, and manages the department budget.
- Engages in ongoing quality and performance improvement, invests in lifelong learning for staff professional development and assures employees complete required annual competencies.
- Maintains own professional growth and development in nursing leadership and required licensure.
- Communicates important information to the CNO and other Administrative Team members as needed.
- As such, the responsibilities include but are not limited to the following activities: Staff development, evidence based clinical practice; personnel resource/productivity management; fiscal management; patient quality, safety and performance improvement; and regulatory compliance.
Report to: Chief Nursing Officer
Requirements
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree. Master's Degree, preferred
- Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state)
- 3-5 years supervisory experience in Cardiac Cath lab setting
- 5+ years training, education and/or experience as Cardiac Cath Lab RN
- BLS within 30 days and ACLS within 90 days of hire
