Job Summary

The Director of Cardiovascular Services will oversee the operational management of the Cath Lab, Endoscopy, Vascular, and Cardiac Rehabilitation departments. This role ensures policies and procedures are followed, safe staffing levels are maintained, and efficient patient throughput is managed. The Director will develop and manage the department budget, engage in quality and performance improvement initiatives, and invest in staff professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee operational management of Cardiovascular Service line departments
  • Develop and manage department budgets
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain safe staffing levels and efficient patient throughput
  • Engage in quality and performance improvement initiatives
  • Invest in staff professional development and ensure completion of required annual competencies
  • Communicate important information to the CNO and Administrative Team members
  • Manage personnel resources and productivity
  • Ensure patient quality, safety, and performance improvement
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred)
  • Current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (or compact state)
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience in Cardiac Cath lab setting
  • 5+ years training, education, and/or experience as Cardiac Cath Lab RN
  • BLS certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • ACLS certification (must obtain within 90 days of hire)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular services and current best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in quality improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in healthcare
