OVERVIEW:

The LAL Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for the successful identification, development and implementation of projects relating to the LAL Manufacturing. This position will provide hands-on detailed guidance for all projects that improve the quality and efficiency of the LAL Manufacturing groups within RxSight. This position will be responsible for the identification of gaps relating to efficiencies as well as the quality of product produced by the LAL manufacturing team. This position will not only manage the project to a successful outcome but will identify gaps within to ensure scalability of all processes both directly and indirectly supporting LAL Manufacturing. The LAL manufacturing project manager will focus on improving training, yield, manufacturing cycle times, and reporting methods, as well as new production introductions.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In-Depth Understanding: Gain comprehensive knowledge of the LAL Manufacturing & Packaging areas through a hands-on approach. Evidenced by active and meaningful involvement in efficiency tracking tools (i.e. Redzone), training plans, and expansion projects, demonstrating the ability to support these initiatives effectively.
  • Process Flow Development: Create and maintain detailed process flows for key manufacturing aspects to facilitate efficiency reviews and project development.
  • Training Management Program: Develop and oversee a world-class training program that enhances employee satisfaction, clearly defines training roles, creating comprehensive curriculum for each role within manufacturing, ensures training effectiveness, communicates expectations, tracks progress, and certifies trainees for production roles. Program to include sustained application of training plans, and continuous monitoring and recertification to ensure effectiveness over time.
  • Track Operator Efficiency: Implement shop floor solutions to monitor and enhance operator efficiency, ensuring throughput goals and future efficiency objectives are met. Including elimination of redundant system tools, and full transition and adoption of latest solution (e.g. Redzone), creating work instructions defining system setup, administration, and use. Establish appropriate communication channels to ensure full system adoption functionality (forums, fishbone diagrams, activities, etc.).
  • Expansion Project Liaison: Collaborate with the Director of Manufacturing to provide project management guidance for facility expansion plans. Oversee and support execution of activities to scheduled facility launch date.
  • Project Planning and Tracking: Develop and maintain a high-quality, integrated project plan, including charters, resources, schedules, critical milestones, and key deliverables. Ensure all elements are well understood, resourced, and tracked.
  • Leadership in Project Team Meetings: Lead project team meetings, manage agendas, produce minutes, and follow up on action items. Track and drive action items to completion, ensuring projects are completed within the designated timeframes.
  • Support Project Transfers: Assist in planning, training, and implementing manufacturing engineering project transfers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement continuous improvement plans, fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement in the LAL manufacturing and packaging areas.
  • Operational Guidance: Provide management with actionable insights on current gaps and opportunities to improve manufacturing operations, enabling efficient organizational scaling.
  • Manage Improvement Projects: Handle additional improvement and scale-up projects as assigned by management.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Direct work experience in Manufacturing.
  • A "hands-on" training style that inspires a strong, cohesive, team-focused work environment.
  • Demonstrable success in development of programs, & procedures.
  • Proven leadership skills, communications.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • None

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or seven (7+) years of Production in Food, Beverage or Medical Device manufacturing.
  • ERP or QAD MFG/PRO, QMS / Agile or electronic Document Control system.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have prior ERP/MRP experience, (preferably in the QAD application), Redzone experience, be proficient in MS office, and have advanced-level MS excel skills.
  • Business intelligence software (Power BI preferred)
  • Project Management System (Smartsheet preferred)
