POSITION SUMMARY:

The LAL Manufacturing Project Manager plays a crucial role in the effective identification, development, and execution of projects related to LAL Manufacturing. This role demands hands-on involvement and detailed guidance for all initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and efficiency of the LAL Manufacturing teams within RxSight. The individual will identify areas for improvement concerning operational efficiencies and product quality produced by the LAL manufacturing team. This position will not only oversee projects to ensure successful outcomes but will also pinpoint areas for scalability in all processes that support LAL Manufacturing, both directly and indirectly. The focus will be on enhancing training, yield, manufacturing cycle times, and reporting methods, alongside new product introductions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comprehensive Knowledge Acquisition: Develop an in-depth understanding of the LAL Manufacturing & Packaging sectors through active engagement in efficiency tracking tools, training plans, and expansion initiatives.
  • Process Flow Management: Design and maintain detailed process flows for critical manufacturing components to facilitate efficiency assessments and project advancements.
  • Training Program Development: Create and manage a premier training program that boosts employee satisfaction, clearly defines training roles, and establishes a thorough curriculum for each manufacturing role, ensuring training effectiveness and tracking progress.
  • Operator Efficiency Monitoring: Implement solutions on the shop floor to enhance operator efficiency, ensuring throughput goals and future efficiency targets are achieved.
  • Collaboration on Expansion Projects: Work alongside the Director of Manufacturing to provide project management support for facility expansion efforts.
  • Project Planning and Oversight: Develop and sustain a high-quality, integrated project plan, encompassing charters, resources, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Leadership in Team Meetings: Facilitate project team meetings, manage agendas, document minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items.
  • Support for Project Transfers: Assist in the planning, training, and execution of manufacturing engineering project transfers.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Formulate and implement continuous improvement strategies, promoting a culture of ongoing enhancement in LAL manufacturing and packaging.
  • Operational Insights: Provide management with actionable insights regarding current gaps and opportunities for enhancing manufacturing operations.
  • Management of Improvement Projects: Oversee additional improvement and scale-up projects as assigned by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Direct experience in Manufacturing.
  • A hands-on training approach that fosters a cohesive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Proven success in developing programs and procedures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, along with seven (7+) years of experience in Production within Food, Beverage, or Medical Device manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ERP or QAD MFG/PRO, QMS / Agile, or electronic Document Control systems.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Prior ERP/MRP experience, preferably with QAD applications, along with proficiency in MS Office and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Experience with business intelligence software (Power BI preferred).
  • Familiarity with project management systems (Smartsheet preferred).
