Summary of Position

Supervises assigned staff in the Outlet. Responsible for routine inventories and audits of cash handling, food, and other merchandise.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Recruit, select, develop, evaluate and counsel his/her employee(s). Maintains communications. Terminates employee with approval of the Operations Manager.
  • Communicates personnel requirements to Operations Manager. Recommends adjustments to staffing levels as justified by demands within budget.
  • Supervise retail operations, including the receiving and processing of donations; ensures quality in goods and services.
  • Supervise outlet food sales to include routine inventory.
  • Works collaboratively with the employment and training program to further the mission.
  • Maintains a positive, team oriented relationship with management, peers and subordinates; and encourages interactions between all departments.
  • Directs, supervises and coordinates staff activities to assure store goals, budgets and objectives are met.
  • Attends scheduled meetings and training.
  • Oversee sales transactions associated with purchase and ensure proper sales procedures are followed. This includes all transactions e.g., cash sales, credit card sales, refunds and exchanges.
  • Monitor pricing of product type and provide recommendations to the manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has supervisory responsibilities over Outlet Lead(s) and Sales Associate(s).


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in retail and supervision of 20 + employees.
  • Ability to understand English and interact with customers and employees.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all of our customers.
  • Ability to perform basic math computations (e.g., computing percentages).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain accuracy.
  • Basic working knowledge of computer applications and the internet.
  • Willing and able to adapt to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days including weekends and holidays.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
  • The ability to cope with and tolerate moderate levels of stress is also a necessity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a telephone and keyboard.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
