Individuals will be responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining and demolishing steel structure systems throughout the plant. Individual duties and responsibilities consist of but not limited to:
- Interpret blueprints, drawing and required specifications.
- Measure and cut various metal parts to exact specifications
- Install or fabricate various metal pieces into columns, girders, or other structural frameworks
- Ensure proper placement, balance, alignment, bolting and welding of structural pieces by using levels, laser tools, plumb bobs, chainfalls, coma-longs etc.
- Repair or replace existing steel parts of buildings and other structures such as stairwells, catwalks, grating etc.
- Measure and cut pipes according to requirements.
- Work at considerable heights safely and efficiently
- Measure accurately to help reduce waste.
- Operate machinery to move metal pieces into place
- Clean and maintain all tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good condition
- Welding is a plus but not required
- Follow all PCI’s regulations and safety protocols
