Ironworker

 

Individuals will be responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining and demolishing steel structure systems throughout the plant. Individual duties and responsibilities consist of but not limited to:

 

  1. Interpret blueprints, drawing and required specifications.
  2. Measure and cut various metal parts to exact specifications
  3. Install or fabricate various metal pieces into columns, girders, or other structural frameworks
  4. Ensure proper placement, balance, alignment, bolting and welding of structural pieces by using levels, laser tools, plumb bobs, chainfalls, coma-longs etc.
  5. Repair or replace existing steel parts of buildings and other structures such as stairwells, catwalks, grating etc.
  6. Measure and cut pipes according to requirements.
  7. Work at considerable heights safely and efficiently
  8. Measure accurately to help reduce waste.
  9. Operate machinery to move metal pieces into place
  10. Clean and maintain all tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good condition
  11. Welding is a plus but not required
  12. Follow all PCI’s regulations and safety protocols
