Summary/Objective
The Social Media Specialist will work closely with the Director of Marketing to develop and implement social media strategies that align with company goals and target audiences. The Social Media Specialist will have the ability to identify opportunities to influence public perception through audience engagement.
The role will be involved in various social media projects and should have experience in:
- Create and manage engaging content across social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn including posts, graphics, videos, and ads
- Manage and help to create marketing content for social media purposes (e.g. briefs, newsletter content, blog posts, videos, posts from industry sources and clients)
- Create custom groups on platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms to promote brand-specific content
- Create social media short videos and promote them on appropriate channels
- Schedule advertising campaigns on social media channels such as Linked and Facebook from choosing the appropriate audience and developing content and ad variations to tracking and monitoring campaign performance
- Understanding of social media KPIs, web traffic metrics, SEO, and other ways to monitor social media performance
- Experience designing buyer personas and audience research
- Use social media posting platforms such as Loomly for scheduling, posting, and analyzing performance
- Communication to team and management on project development, timelines, and results
Required Education and Experience
- 3-5 years experience in social media management, digital marketing, or a similar role with demonstrated successes
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices
- Excellent communication, copywriting, and content creation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights from data
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience working with popular social media advertising platforms found in LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok in particular
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience working with popular social media monitoring tools and popular social media management tools (Hootsuite, Loomly, etc)
