Quality Control is responsible for managing and guiding all quality control activities within MGM Products Inc., ensuring products meet the highest quality, integrity, and functionality standards. This involves assessing production operations, collaborating with management, and upholding quality control procedures. The role is crucial in establishing and enforcing quality standards across all production departments, in line with both industry and company guidelines.
Job Duties:
Quality Control Procedures:
- Ensure the implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures.
- Oversee in-process inspections and finished product inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Quality Control Data Management:
- Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
- Document all findings and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with machine operators and production staff to manage quality, address non-conformance issues, and resolve quality-related problems.
- Maintain effective communication with all departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of processes and quality requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in production and quality control processes.
- Implement strategies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Strategic Evaluation:
- Assess production operations from a strategic perspective to ensure that products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and other specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with management and senior staff to develop and implement acceptable quality standards.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure that all products and processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in quality control and industry best practices.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in quality control, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of quality control standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of quality control professionals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or certification in Quality Control or related field.
- Experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other quality improvement methodologies.
