Job Description

What You’ll Do:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team   This highly visible and collaborative role will incorporate many HR functional responsibilities such as assisting in recruitment, new hire onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, tuition reimbursement, HRIS transactions, and benefits and leave administration.  You will also have opportunities to get involved in Instron safety initiatives and employee resource groups.

  • Supports the recruitment and onboarding process for regular, temporary and co-op employees
    • Posts open positions in Applicant Tracking System
    • Schedules and coordinates interviews
    • Coordinates the pre-employment screening process for all incoming employees
  • Maintain accurate records of employee personnel files and entries into HRIS system including adding new hires, terminations, transfers and promotions
  • Assist in carrying out policies and procedures throughout HR department
  • Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that comply with federal and state laws and are consistent with Instron’s values and business goals.
  • Provides administrative support for a variety of HR related activities including Instron’s performance appraisal process, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability claims, Worker's Compensation and the tuition reimbursement program.
  • Works closely with HR team to ensure there is consistency in the interpretation, communication and application and administration of HR policies and procedures
Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

  • Knowledge and prior experience in the following HR areas: recruitment, performance management, process improvement, compensation and benefits, federal and state law, HRIS (experience with Workday preferred).
  • Excellent speaking and listening skills to share information effectively while paying attention to concerns and questions from employees.  
  • Detail-oriented to ensure HR department is maintaining accurate records and accurate communication
  • Proven experience in leading HRIS projects from inception to completion, including managing timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Interpersonal skills as you will be supporting and interacting with new and existing employees regularly
