**Job Title:** Front Desk Receptionist at Lake Houston Medical (Get Well Clinic)

**Location:** Atascocita, TX

**Job Type:** Full Time

Pay Rate $17-$22 an hour PLUS bonuses and Insurance Benefits

**Work Hours:** Monday – Friday, 7:50 AM – 5:00 PM

We're currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to join our team and be the first point of contact for our valued patients.


**Position Summary:**

As a Front Desk Receptionist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients feel welcome and are smoothly guided through their appointments. From patient intake to checkout, your goal will be to provide superior customer service and administrative support to our patients and healthcare providers.


**Duties and Responsibilities:**

- Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone with a warm and friendly demeanor.

- Manage patient intake, including the collection of personal, medical, and insurance information.

- Verify patient insurance coverage and understand insurance components to accurately inform patients of their responsibilities.

- Execute patient checkout procedures and collect payments when applicable.

- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized and efficient flow of patient traffic.

- Answer patient inquiries, provide accurate information regarding services and direct them as needed.

- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.

- Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.

- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure excellent patient care and service.


**Qualifications:**

- Proven work experience in front desk reception, specifically within a healthcare setting.

- Strong understanding of insurance verification processes and healthcare billing.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

- Compassionate and patient-focused approach with a commitment to confidentiality.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in Medical Administration is a plus.
