Department: Victim Services

Compensation: $85,000

FLSA Status: Full-time

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday; Typical Business Hours. Occasional evening or weekend work.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The YWCA is looking for an experienced clinical supervisor to provide supervision for a diverse therapy team, and mental health/critical incident management for agency. The supervisor must provide reflective practice along with other supervisory skills like documentation, coordination with department supervisor, and attention to documentation and compliance needs. The clinical supervisor will hold regular, structured meetings with staff to discuss treatments and professional issues. The clinical supervisor will serve as a guide for practitioners to assess clients’ mental health, develop suitable treatments, and make referrals. The supervisor will ensure that staff maintain quality clinical documentation that compliance with licensure requirements and the needs of our funders. To be successful in this role you need to display strong leadership and decision-making skills to ensure that therapists grow professionally and adequately fulfill clients’ treatment needs. Top candidates will be organized, knowledgeable and excellent communicators.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master's degree in counseling, Social Work, or Psychology along with related license to practice therapy.
  2. Training in clinical supervision that follows the requirements for professional licensure
  3. Knowledge of crisis counseling and brief interventions
  4. Familiarity with the psychological, legal and healthcare needs of domestic violence survivors
  5. Experience working with trauma survivors, black, brown, indigenous and queer populations.
  6. Minimum 5-years' experience with supervision
  7. Able to appropriately interact with and support people who have experienced trauma.
  8. Satisfactory response to criminal, child abuse, and neglect history background checks.
  9. A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle expected.
  10. CPR and First Aid certification required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical Supervisor Responsibilities:
  1. Hold regular meetings with practitioners and department supervisor.
  2. Oversee and review therapist work including schedule management, caseload management, and work with clients.
  3. Provide trauma informed corrective action when necessary.
  4. Communicating issues and challenges with the program director.
  5. Conducting reflective practice reviews of performance.
  6. Ensuring practitioners comply with licensure and registration requirements.
  7. Ensuring compliance, accuracy, and quality of clinical documentation.
  8. Assisting practitioners by supervising complex cases.
  9. Enhancing operations by ensuring caseload management and client needs are met.
  10. Support agency in management of critical incident mental health issues with staff and clients
  11. Work cooperatively with program participants, YWCA staff and volunteers.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
