Serves the integrated aims of the Alumni and Development units through efforts at increasing alumni involvement and campaign giving. Manages a reunion giving program that will be focused on gifts to maximize the Growing our Future campaign. Provides vision and leadership to plan, organize and implement a comprehensive GOLD (Graduates of Last Decade) campaign to bring new donors to the Growing our Future campaign. The goal of the GOLD campaign is to increase alumni giving percentages, specifically focusing on young alumni through creation of a young alumni council, special events, personal solicitations and relationship building, direct mail, telemarketing, social media and coordinated stewardship events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create & serve as team leader for young alumni council consisting of alumni who have graduated within the past 10 years.
- Develop, implement and manage a coordinated and targeted year long program specifically designed to engage millennial alumni in the Growing Our Future campaign and increase giving percentages to achieve set goal, using:
- Social Media campaign, Special events on campus & in targeted locations, Online giving & Email blasts, Telemarketing, Direct Mail
- Manage a reunion giving program that provides campaign gifts by class.
- Cultivate, solicit and steward annual gifts to the Wilmington Fund.
- Coordinate efforts to expand student understanding of philanthropy and increase involvement in the Growing Our Future campaign resulting in a student gift effort.
- Collaborate with Development and Alumni staff on tracking prospective donors
- Schedule and manage a plan of in and out-of-state travel to reach prospects.
- Schedule and plan assigned alumni, reunion events.
- Schedule the President for select alumni and donor meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Exhibits necessary level of knowledge and expertise and effectively supervises assigned staff.
- Provides effective team leadership and coordinates effectively with other college departments/ employees.
- Strives for excellence in performance of responsibilities and in meeting needs of clients/students served.
- Knows and observes college and departmental policies, guidelines and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Related Bachelor's degree
- Evidence of management experience in a range of activities relating to higher education development.
- Evidence of excellent writing skills and requisite background in fund solicitations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population and to become an integral part of the college community and the community at large.
