Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware is looking for an Advance Practice Nurse in the Division of Transplantation to join our team. The APRN will provide comprehensive care to transplant recipients throughout the continuum from evaluation, listing, transplantation, and post-transplantation. The advance practice nurse will coordinate the evaluation process of potential transplant candidates and potential living donors. This individual will provide ongoing medical care for transplant recipients in the in-patient and out-patient settings, with patients being followed until the time of transition to an adult transplant program.

The advance practice nurse will be responsible for providing ongoing education and support surrounding care of the transplant recipient to patients, families, and other health care providers and nursing staff. Compliance with internal and external regulatory standards including UNOS, CMS, and Joint Commission will be required.

Requirements:
  • Active Delaware (or compact state) Registered Nurse Licensure required
  • Active Delaware Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure, with or without prescriptive authority required
  • Delaware Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
  • Federal DEA registration with Delaware Address
  • Current certification as a Pediatric Primary Care or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification required.
  • 1 - 3 years of pediatric experience
