Accountant Assistant/Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented parttime (25/30 hours a week). Accountant Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team in the accounting department. As an Accountant Assistant/Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in supporting our accounting department and ensuring accurate financial records. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers and wants to grow their career in the accounting field.
Responsibilities- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing financial reports
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and investigate any discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of invoices, receipts, and financial documents
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department, such as filing, data entry, and correspondence management
- Assists Accounting manager and CEO with special projects as necessary
- Perform receptionist duties when needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience as an Accountant Assistant or Bookkeeper
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheets
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skill
