A day as an Applications Engineering Manager at Cirtec Medical
The Manager of applications Engineering is responsible for leading a team of Application Engineers in supporting
the Engineering Services platforms. The position will appropriately evaluate opportunities for the organization
to determine appropriate resources to satisfy the customer requests and potential downstream risks to deliver
acceptable timelines and schedules. This position works closely with other functional areas to understand
strategies and implement initiatives to support high growth accounts.
Responsibilities may include the following, and other duties may be assigned:
Key areas of expertise are:
Manage the performance of the Applications Engineering team by establishing and monitoring key
metricsProvide ongoing coaching and training required to perform the duties of the Applications Engineers
Work closely with sales and customer service to understand strategies and implement initiatives to
support high-growth accountsPartner with Sales leaders as an integral part of the pre-sales customer acquisition team to drive increased close rates and excellent customer experience
Must Have:
BS in Biomedical / Mechanical / Electronics / Computer engineering discipline with at least five years
of experience within the medical device industryMust have experience working on medical device development projects from design through
transfer to production7+ years’ experience in the engineering/manufacturing environment of the medical device component
assembly
Good to have:
Experience with active implant devices or implantable components preferred
Must possess strong understanding and working knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA 21CFR820
based Quality Systems and Design ControlMust be able to interpret technical drawings, product requirements, design specifications and
relevant technical documents
