Seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer to join our Property Management department in Pittsburgh, PA. This individual will play a key role in overseeing the upkeep, servicing, and restoration of mechanical systems, machinery, and structures to maintain peak performance, safety, and effectiveness.
Compensation:$80,000
Responsibilities:Equipment Operation:
- Operate and monitor boilers, HVAC systems, generators, and other mechanical equipment.
- Control and adjust various parameters to maintain optimal operating conditions.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and address potential issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and efficiency of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures promptly.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in the operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Conduct safety checks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain detailed records of equipment operations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Document readings, adjustments, and other relevant data.
Energy Efficiency:
- Implement energy conservation measures to optimize energy use and reduce operational costs.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency.
Emergency Response:
- Respond to emergency situations promptly, such as equipment failures or malfunctions.
- Take appropriate actions to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of personnel.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other engineering and maintenance staff to coordinate activities and projects.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, contractors, and other relevant parties.
Training:
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff or new hires.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification:
- Possess Stationary Engineer License, preferably NIULPE.
Experience:
- 5-7 years' experience in operating and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Fitness:
- Ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
