Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Travel Coordinator to join our team at GlobeTrek Consulting. As a Travel Coordinator - Remote, you will be responsible for assisting clients with all aspects of their travel arrangements, from booking flights and accommodations to coordinating activities and providing destination recommendations. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely, allowing you to support clients from anywhere while ensuring they have a seamless and enjoyable travel experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Travel Planning: Collaborate with clients to understand their travel preferences, interests, and budgetary constraints, and tailor travel itineraries accordingly to meet their needs.
  2. Flight and Accommodation Booking: Research and book flights, hotels, rental cars, and other transportation services based on clients' preferences, schedules, and budget considerations.
  3. Destination Research: Conduct thorough research on destinations, including attractions, activities, dining options, and local customs, and provide personalized recommendations to clients.
  4. Activity Coordination: Assist clients in booking tours, excursions, tickets to events, and other activities to enhance their travel experience and create memorable moments.
  5. Travel Documentation: Provide guidance to clients on travel documentation requirements, including passports, visas, and travel insurance, and assist with the application process as needed.
  6. Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients via phone, email, and video conferencing to provide updates, address inquiries, and ensure their travel needs are met throughout the planning process.
  7. Supplier Liaison: Coordinate with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other travel suppliers to confirm bookings, resolve any issues or changes, and ensure a seamless travel experience for clients.
  8. Budget Management: Assist clients in managing their travel budgets, providing transparent pricing information, and offering cost-saving strategies and alternatives where possible.
  9. Emergency Assistance: Provide 24/7 support to clients during their travels, including assistance with flight changes, rebooking accommodations, and handling unforeseen emergencies or disruptions.
  10. Post-Travel Follow-Up: Follow up with clients after their trip to gather feedback, address any concerns or issues, and ensure their satisfaction with the overall travel experience.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in travel planning, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using travel booking systems, online research tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling bookings, reservations, and travel documentation.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client needs and time zone differences.
  • Passion for travel and a desire to create memorable experiences for clients.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, while also collaborating effectively with team members and clients.
