Starting Rate of Pay:        Pay will be commensurate with experience

SUMMARY
This person is responsible for answering the telephone, transferring calls, and greeting customers and guests to the office.  This person also performs a variety of duties that are important to the daily operation of the corporate office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
  • Regular and sustained attendance.
  • Answer phones and greet visitors with a friendly demeanor
  • Work closely with, assist and back‑up front office personnel
  • File invoices and scale tickets – put in numerical order
  • Process paperwork from the Feed Plant
  • Prepare Reports in Excel
  • Distribute incoming mail and mail from branch offices
  • Maintain Certificates of Liability Insurance for our vendors and hauling companies
  • The employee must perform all other duties as directed by management.

None

QUALIFICATIONS 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School or equivalent (GED); and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current and Valid Driver’s License Preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must possess a pleasant voice quality and use proper grammar skills when speaking (i.e., proper verb tense). Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, discounts, proportions and percent and interpret graphs if necessary.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

COMPUTER SKILLS
Computer skills and experience is required,  with emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite software.  A beginning speed of 30 to 35 words per minute would be a minimum.  The employee will be required to send e-mails and fill out various spreadsheets and reports.  Experience with a 10-key calculator is preferred.  This position requires working with numbers daily.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as associated with offices.  Due to the nature of the manufacturing operation, the employee is exposed to a certain amount of grain dust while on the job.  If a person is highly allergic to dust and grain, this may not be a suitable work environment.
