A boutique firm in Baltimore, MD, is looking for a skilled Bankruptcy Legal Assistant to join our team. If you're ready to help our clients get back on track and avoid the “Bankruptcy” space, we want to hear from you


Responsibilities:

  • Bankruptcy Navigator: Assist attorneys in managing bankruptcy cases from filing to discharge, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time—no missing turns here
  • Client Support: Act as a point of contact for clients, guiding them through the bankruptcy process like a trusted banker at Monopoly, answering their questions, and keeping them informed every step of the way.
  • Document Prep: Prepare and organize legal documents, petitions, schedules, and financial statements with precision—just like keeping your properties in order
  • Court Filings: Handle electronic court filings and monitor case statuses, making sure deadlines are met, and our clients avoid any financial penalties—think of it as dodging those “Chance” cards
  • Research and Reporting: Conduct research on bankruptcy laws and procedures, and report findings to attorneys to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Requirements:

  • Experienced Player: Minimum of 3 years of experience with consumer bankruptcy law
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, like managing properties and cash flow in a heated Monopoly game.
  • Communication Pro: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly explain the bankruptcy process to clients and keep the team informed—no guessing games here.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in legal software, Microsoft Office, and electronic filing systems—because you can't win without the right tools
  • Detail-Oriented: Keen eye for detail, ensuring that every document is in place and every deadline is met—just like keeping track of every dollar in Monopoly.
