This position supervises and coordinates activities of personnel in the operating room. Ensures adherence to procedure and schedule. The CST/LPN Team Lead supervises the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies, staffing and training of employees, and budgeting.
Under minimum supervision, assists the Manager of Surgical Services by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs for all surgical procedures. The lead surgical technologist will assist in the orientation and continuing education of all technical staff in the perioperative area by assisting with the implementation of all policies and procedures of the facility.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintains standards of care for the operative patient following AORN standards/recommendations.

- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to apply proper handling of supplies and equipment necessary for a surgical procedure.

- Demonstrates universal precautions and infection control techniques in daily patient care activities and uses proper lifting techniques.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Graduate of accredited surgical technology program & eligible for certification.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 1-3 years' experience preferred, not required
Certification: NBSTSA or NCCT
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Requires ability to lift >25lbs and assist with patient positioning/transfers and able to lift 50 pounds or more.

- Onsite
Compensation Disclosure:
- $32 to $42 per hour
