Position Summary

Production Supervisor III (2nd shift) responsibilities will include supervising the control processes, performing various test on products, writing up reports, diagnosing and resolving problems with products, methods, and equipment, while providing training and general support to establish consistent efficiency throughout the production and must be able to effectively communicate areas of concern within scope of responsibilities. Ensure that all safety and sanitation guidelines and GMP’s are followed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability - with or without reasonable accommodation - to perform the following duties but not limited to:

  • Ensuring the required materials are available for production, and that the factory is safe for all workers.
  • Inspecting machinery and reporting any faults to management and/or maintenance dept.
  • Identifying faults and troubleshooting wherever possible.
  • Analyzing performance and products, then making suitable recommendations.
  • Creating/maintaining work schedules and training sessions as required.
  • Maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring that company specs are implemented and followed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by dept supervisors.
  • Responsible for completing work reports at the completion of each shift.
  • Provides specific training (buddy system) to regular full time and temporary personnel with regards to the operations of the processing and packaging machinery/equipment, including efficiently maintaining the production process in accordance with company specifications.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or three plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a high-speed manufacturing facility
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think outside the box
  • Solution and team oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)

  • Vocational training or post-secondary degree in a technical field
  • Experience using a CMMS system
