Job Summary:
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution. This role is critical to ensuring efficient last-mile delivery services, meeting customer expectations, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, inventory control, and staff management, with a focus on optimizing processes and reducing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Develop and implement efficient warehousing practices, including space utilization, stock rotation, and safety protocols.
- Ensure accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure every package assigned to be delivered that day is delivered and or accounted for.
- High proficient in computers, submitting timely reports and data.
- Monitoring Dispatch boards and positive communication with all drivers until the last package is completed.
- Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate last-mile delivery schedules and ensure timely dispatch of goods to meet customer delivery windows.
- Collaborate with the transportation team to optimize delivery routes and reduce transit times.
- Monitor and manage the performance of courier partners, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Staff Management:
- Lead, train, and develop a team of warehouse staff, including Warehouse Lead, Contractors
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Ensure everyone is in uniform.
- Conduct interviews every week for recruitment.
- Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and optimize warehouse and logistics operations.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure the warehouse operations remain competitive.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, including stock levels, shipments, and returns.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain, preferably within a last-mile delivery environment.
- Minimum of 3 years in strong leadership role.
- Critical Adaptability and Flexibility to generate solutions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, distribution, and transportation logistics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
- Healthy and capable with a strong will to get the job done.
- Ability to build and foster strong client vendor relationship.
- Must be able to lift 50-80 lbs
- Valid Driver's license and pass a background check
Working Conditions:
- The role requires a hands-on approach, spending significant time on the warehouse floor.
- Early Morning
- Dispatching from Hybrid location.
- You must be reliable and dependable.
- Interviews conducted every week for IC recruitment and fulfillment.
- Sorting Packages.
- Manage high stress and anxiety situations.
- Running Unassigned routes ensuring all packages are delivered.
- Requires in state travel
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
