You’ll work with our Kids Ministry team to develop church-wide strategies for coordinating and creating fun environments for kids to experience and learn about Jesus.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- You'll help supervise and lead Kids Ministry services and environments as needed on Sunday mornings - 3-4 weeks of the month
- You’ll provide administrative support including tracking kids attendance, maintaining our database, reserving meeting spaces, calendar, registrations and sign-ups
- You'll greet new families and assist them in getting their children connected in the appropriate classrooms and follow-up by contacting these families by note, phone, or text
- You'll work to improve and implement all of our family connection processes for kids to take next steps
- You'll assist and help set-up for weekend Kids Ministry Sunday services, while also ensuring that supplies are prepped for volunteers
- You'll help organize and distribute curriculum to volunteer leaders for elementary programs and classes
- You'll help with Kids Ministry games and/or activities when needed
- You'll order, stock and maintain departmental supplies
- You'll assist in recruiting and training volunteers for Sunday morning elementary small group classes
- You'll participate in the overall planning and execution of Kids Ministry programs and monthly special events
- You'll hold a key leadership role in our annual summer Kids Camp X - including being active and present for all prep, training and the actual executing of the camp itself

- Demonstrates an ongoing and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- A proven track record of solid judgment and above-reproach character
- A passion to see kids get connected into authentic Christ-centered community and the passion to see them grow deeper in their child-like faith
- Demonstrates a love for children
- Aptitude for leading both people and tasks
- High-level networking/relational strengths with an ability to execute
- A servant-leader temperament – willing to walk alongside families and kids to serve them
- Growth-orientated and see the potential in those around you
- Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure
- A team player with excellent communication skills and is able to work independently
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Great attention to detail and time-management skills – very administrative
- Proficient in Google Drive Suite and the use of Mac & PC’s
- Embraces the vision for Kids Ministry at Hills Church
- Maintains regular attendance at worship services and demonstrates active participation at Hills Church
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience working or high-level volunteering for a church, non-profit
- Management and/or director experience
