Essential Functions: What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for all truck load and common carrier freight rates are correct and adjust where necessary to be entered into Epicor each morning
  • Uploads pictures from the previous day of crated product into ESOPT each morning
  • Responsible for daily shipping BOL’s are uploaded to M files each morning
  • Works with Shipping Manager to review daily shipping schedule as set from assistant plant manager and plant manager
  • Responsible for booking all common carrier shipments
  • Responsible for reviewing ship to addresses for daily shipments with Shipping Manager for any discrepancies
  • Ensures all BOL’s are produced correctly and in a timely manner
  • Ensures proper labeling of all products for shipments
  • Responsible for monitoring the product as it is loaded on to the trucks
  • Confirms with each freight carrier driver the correct product is loaded and having them sign the BOL
  • Package and prepare all small package shipments (UPS ground and air)
  • Works with project managers on all trans shipments
  • Answer questions pertaining to previously shipped product (tracking info, ETA and issue related questions.)
  • Read and respond to emails in a prompt and timely manner
  • Supports additional projects and assignments as required.

Qualifications: What you’ll need to be successful

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook, Zoom, Teams, and ERP
  • Mathematical Proficiency: Proficient in mathematical skills with the ability to use a calculator.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service, preferably with experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate via telephone and email with internal stakeholders
  • Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail, precise and accurate

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and use hands to operate telephone, type and operate computer and mouse.

  • The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, and bend and twist neck.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
