Engineering Manager/Product Owner

We are currently seeking an engineering Manager/Product Owner who has experience acting as a technical lead while providing career management to a small team of developers. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Software Engineer, Computer Science or a related field; or equivalent experience as well as 5 years experience developing software as an individual contributor and 2-3 years experience as a technical lead. Previous product owner experience is a plus.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Performs first stage of career manager duties including performance evaluations, job interviews, promotion recommendations
  • May participate in developing estimates for pricing on proposals/contracts.
  • Performs Technical Lead duties leading a group of 5 10 engineers assuring technical quality of software meets best practices.
  • May also perform Product Owner duties including , backlog grooming, story writing, high level sprint planning, etc...
  • May also perform some Individual Contributor Duties including planning designing, developing, testing and documenting complex software for new products, new features, customer demonstrations, and program development

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a substantial amount of time operating a computer terminal.
  • Frequently communicates with clients, team members, etc.
  • Travel is required.
