Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies for academic positions, including faculty, researchers, and administrative roles.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and academic conferences, to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Screening and Interviews: Conduct initial screenings, coordinate interviews, and manage communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Collaboration: Partner with academic departments and hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on best practices for recruitment and selection.
  • Talent Pipelining: Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for future openings by fostering relationships with academic professionals and institutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and institutional policies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in recruitment, with a focus on academic or higher education recruitment preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of academic hiring processes and requirements.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with academic tenure systems, research funding, and faculty development is a plus.
