POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is based in Roanoke, VA and reports to the Sr. Mgr Domestic Transportation. The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for supporting Revlon operations with a focus in disposition resolutions and claim filing for both Domestic and International freight. This position works collaboratively, cross-functionally, internally and externally to resolve OS&D disputes. This role will also assist with Transportation reporting including gathering data from various sources, keying data as needed, appending data to existing files, and cleansing data to ensure standardization of data. This team member will provide regular reporting as needed to various team members and colleagues. This role will assist with freight payment invoice processing as needed.

To achieve this, the Transportation Coordinator collaborates with Carriers, Customers, Customer Service Teams, Credit Teams and our teams to resolve open disputes and find resolutions for all parties. The Transportation Coordinator will utilize their Microsoft Excel skillset as well as their understanding of other reports and available datasets to maintain reporting. The Transportation Coordinator applies their judgment, experience, knowledge of current market conditions, transit times, delivery requirements, shipping considerations and routing guide information to make mode and carrier selection decisions prior to load tendering.

This role will have back-up responsibilities to Team Members in Roanoke including but not limited to reporting, outbound and inbound processes, & freight payment. This Team Member will need to understand all freight modes, carrier processes, and Transportation.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Resolve overages, shortages and damages dispositions
  • File freight claims with carriers and 3rd parties as required
  • Arrange returns of our freight to our facilities
  • Assisting with reporting needs including gathering, keying and cleansing data to maintain or append current reports.
  • Provide Reporting and insights to various business stakeholders
  • Proactively address transportation delays and recover freight as needed.
  • Back-up to the Team Member supporting both Inbound and Outbound operations as needed.
  • Create Bills of Lading (BOL) and provide needed shipping documentation.
  • Uses computer software such as MS EXCEL to generate requested reports.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of transportation industry experience or experience in a similar role preferred
  • General understanding of LTL, Parcel and TL modes of transportation
  • Ability to learn different computer systems quickly
  • Intermediate experience using MS Office (Outlook and EXCEL)
