    Position Overview

    In your position as Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the restaurant by leading team members to ensure restaurant runs quickly and at the level set by the company. Ensure all company policies are followed and assist in the development of policies, training programs, and development of subordinates. You need to work at a purposeful pace keeping high quality and excellence in mind. Your position is critical to the successful operation of the restaurant and you will play a key role in supporting both the operational staff and superior customer experience.

So much so, that it is our expectation that each associate will have multiple areas of accountability based on their ability to "master" each position.

Once you have mastered your position and you consistently operate at the "mastery" level for a period of time, we will invite you take on another position within the cafe.     By increasing your personal competency with these various positions, you are increasing the value you add to our company and in turn, you should participate in the increased value you are creating in the form of increased earnings and opportunities with the company


    Key aspects of the position:

    • Create a positive guest experience by creating a high level of service.
    • Ensuring all team members are engaged in conversations with guests to understand their needs and exceed their expectations.
    • Plan, Identify, Communicate and Delegate responsibilities to team members to ensure excellent operations are consistently achieved.
    • Manage and motivate team through positive and respectful leadership.
    • Train, develop and manage hourly employees
    • Work with GM or Owner to ensure employee schedule complies company guidelines
    • Review and provide daily food and supply inventory levels to General Manager.
    • Appropriately communicate disciplinary needs of employees to General Manager.
    • Take corrective actions when needed

    Expectations/Benchmarks

    • Running successful shifts including hitting the targeted ticket times.
    • Achieving a 95% or higher on a mystery shopper report.
    • Generate sales growth by consistently delivering a positive guest experience and executing local restaurant marketing and catering initiatives.
    • Initiating corrective actions.
