Planner / Supply Chain Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

Production Planning:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust plans as necessary to address any issues or delays.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure alignment on production goals and requirements.
  • Subcontracting Management:
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure they understand and meet production requirements.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and address any issues that arise.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure adequate supply for production needs.
  • Work with the warehouse and logistics teams to manage inventory storage and distribution.

Cost Management:

  • Analyze cost data to identify opportunities for cost savings in production and procurement processes.
  • Implement cost-effective strategies while maintaining product quality and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and present cost analysis reports to management.
  • Procurement of Outside Services:
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for outside services and subcontracting needs.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to production planning and procurement.


Requirements:
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in a related field with 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or plant supply chain environment.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Computer skills
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Proficient in multi-tasking, organized, high capacity for change and the ability to manage change.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrates excellent follow-up.
