Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Prysmian Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, track usage and requirements, and ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Order Management: Input requirements into SAP system, generate orders, and ensure accurate data entry.
  • Supplier Management: Interface with suppliers to confirm pricing, delivery, and specifications.
  • Receiving and Inventory Verification: Confirm receipt and inventory of maintenance-related materials daily.
  • Stock Management: Develop and maintain appropriate stock levels, establish reorder systems, and maintain JIT goals.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze and improve supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis on procurement and inventory performance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 2-4 years of purchasing and supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze data.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense and problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in SAP Inventory and Manufacturing software, MS Office, and supplier websites.
Working Conditions

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to noise and physical demands. The successful candidate must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
