ARES is seeking a Deputy Program Director to provide duties as the Service Delivery Director for Office of Communication in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing NASA TV segments, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. The candidate will be responsible for leading the technical execution of NASA's enterprise vision for the eMITS contract. eMITS represents the consolidation of multimedia and communications contracts across the Agency. NASA's enterprise vision involves realizing economies of scale through this consolidation, creating uniformity of process, standardized high levels of quality, and enabling knowledge capture and transfer across the workforce.

Functional Responsibilities:

The candidate will possess an understanding of multimedia and communication services. This includes: Multimedia Technology, Processing, and Engineering, Engineering, Installation and Maintenance, Media Repository Management, Cataloging Still and Motion Imagery, Preservation and Migration, Digital Signage, Technology Support for Strategic Communications, Multimedia Mission Services, Imagery Acquisition, Processing and Distribution, NASA Television and Institutional Video Operations, Creative Development (Graphics, Writing and Editing), Digital Media Production and Distribution, Fabrication, Printing and Physical Production, Exhibition Media Design and Development, and Meeting, Events, and Presentations.

The candidate will be a solution partner with the Government and continually seek to implement processes and operational methods that will enhance the provision of services for all customers of this contract, including the OCOMM, center OCOMM organizations, and their customers.

The candidate be aware of and be flexible to the differences in individual center service delivery that currently exists.

The candidate will partner and collaborate with Center level organizations and customers to ensure the most satisfactory service delivery for each supported organization as is practical and feasible within the OCOMM enterprise services delivery framework.

The candidate will assist each supported organization in integrating into a uniform enterprise service delivery model for services and facilitate change management while remaining flexible to individual center schedules and processes.

The candidate will recommend integrated solutions that span across business strategies, technologies, architecture, platforms, and, when applicable, across other agency and center contracts.

Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Understanding of enterprise multimedia and communication management models to include development, customer relationship management, and aligning services to customer needs.

• Experience identifying and implementing work process efficiencies.

• Experience working in an enterprise environment spanning a workforce supporting multiple disciplines.

• Experience and knowledge of a broad range of communication and multimedia technologies, tools, and work processes.

• Innovator; problem-solver; strategic thinker.

• NASA experience.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills.

• Must be a self-starter.

• Have a strong understanding of the NASA OCOMM business processes supported at both the agency and center level, products and services offered and implemented across this contract and associated NASA contracts, and shall recommend solutions that span across those products and services in meeting OCOMM customer requirements.

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Lync, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have led teams >250 personnel.

Education and Relevant Work Experience:

BS/BA/MS in Communication, Multimedia, or Business with > 10 years relevant experience.
