We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Human Resources Assistant. This position will provide crucial support with various administrative duties for our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Requirements:

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Oversee a variety of administrative processes associated with the employee lifecycle, including paperwork, data management, and coordinating administrative details, all while handling sensitive information with utmost professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Contribute to crafting employee incentives, rewards, and recognition programs aimed at boosting morale and nurturing a positive workplace culture.
  • Proactively engage in the new hire administration process by reaching out to new hires and preparing and dispatching onboarding documents for electronic signature.
  • Lead or assist in conducting new hire orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Address frequently asked questions regarding standard policies, benefits, and hiring procedures, referring complex inquiries to senior HR personnel as needed.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition ceremonies, holiday festivities, and retirement celebrations.
  • Aid in crafting engaging presentations for various HR initiatives.
  • Handle terminations and participate in offboarding procedures.
  • Stay abreast of the latest HR trends and best practices to ensure our practices remain current and effective.
  • Offer crucial support for certain administrative functions performed by other HR staff, providing backup as needed.
  • Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven strong interpersonal and customer service skills, as demonstrated by the ability to effectively interact with diverse individuals possessing different communication styles, while also exhibiting a high degree of professionalism and reliable follow-through on commitments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Bonus points if you have a passion for keeping electronic files organized and current.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
  • Skilled in or adept at rapidly acquiring proficiency in payroll management, human resource information systems (HRIS), and comparable computer applications. Prior experience with Paylocity is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in benefits, recruiting, and standard administrative processes.
  • Eagerness to identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a sense of urgency and adapt to shifting priorities and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Collaborative team player capable of handling and accomplishing multiple tasks with minimal oversight, yet comfortable seeking clarification when needed.
