Therapeutic Residential Program Manager: ISS

The Ivy Street School (ISS) is a small, year-round, therapeutic residential school committed to advancing equity and access for young people living with disabilities and mental health challenges. We serve neurodiverse adolescents ages 13-22. We support the whole child through a student-first model that is driven by collaboration, a willingness to think big, and a commitment to knowing our students well. We believe that every student is exceptional and at Ivy Street, we work tirelessly to create the educational and therapeutic conditions for our students to thrive. Ivy Street School is located near public transportation, has free parking and is walking distance from B.U.
The Cottage Farm Program is an apartment located a few blocks from the Ivy Street School. Students living at CFP are generally 18-22 and require ongoing supervision, coaching and skill development focused on managing their mental health symptoms and preparing for young adulthood.
CFP Manager
Under the supervision of the CFP Director, the CFP Program Manager maintains the integrity of residential programming both administratively and as an active member in the therapeutic milieu:
· Supervises and supports the development of the residential counselors
· Supports the administrative needs of the program, including managing budget, ensuring the completion of documentation, and attending IEP and EEC treatment meetings
· Works closely with the Program Director to ensure the residential program meets all regulatory requirements
· Works closely with the Program Director to oversee and support safety of the program Monday-Friday
· Attends change of shift meetings and collaborates with other team members across shifts
· Oversees and manages the Cottage Farm advocate system
· Functions as main point of contact for parents/caregivers of students
· Supports interviews, hiring, and onboarding of program staff
· Coordinates fun, engaging weekend programming and after school programming/activities in collaboration with Enrichment Program Manager
· Reviews and approves incident reports and supports staff follow up after significant incidents
· Supports the residential team to maintain the area, including cleanliness of bedrooms, common spaces and common areas.
· Co-leads weekly staff meeting and monthly residential department meeting
Hours:
· Monday – Friday approximately 11am-7pm; in ratio at least 15 hours per week
Frequent walking, standing, and driving. Must be able to maintain a high level of energy in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift and/or carry lightweight and moderately heavy objects. Must be able to assist in lifting and transferring participants. Must be able to implement safety restraint procedures in response to emergencies or treatment plans and apply First Aid and CPR
