Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED). College degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of related experience in the hospitality or service industry, with at least 2 years in management, preferably in a fine dining/upmarket setting.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace.
  • Must possess Multi-Outlet and Banqueting experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to understand other computer programs (e.g., Property Management System and Point of Sale).
  • Ability to apply concepts of math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and algebra, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Job Responsibilities:

Guest Satisfaction and Communication:

  • Ensure guest needs are met through proper grooming, communication, and proactive service.
  • Monitor communication between Food and Beverage and other departments.
  • Attend manager meetings in the absence of the F&B Manager.
  • Assist and assume full management duties for the F&B Manager when needed.

Operations and Service Management:

  • Maintain cleanliness of dining room and Bar G public spaces.
  • Manage floor shifts and oversee daily service staff activities.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate essential information to Food and Beverage Staff.
  • Check dining room standards to maintain consistency with service expectations.
  • Ensure a smooth guest experience in the dining room.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to deliver exceptional service in the restaurant.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in safe, working condition.

Sales and Marketing:

  • Drive sales through efficient Resy management, staff training, community outreach, and collaboration with events, reservations, and marketing teams.

Employee Management and Development:

  • Oversee hiring, professional development, and employee termination processes.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, set performance expectations, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper storage of HR documentation across all departments.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to dress code policies.

Financial Management:

  • Compile and balance cash receipts at the end of each day or shift.
  • Demonstrate understanding of labor cost control through effective scheduling and proactive management.
  • Follow inventory standards and procedures to conduct accurate inventories.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Monitor employee and patron activities to ensure compliance with liquor regulations.
  • Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations in lodging and dining facilities.
  • Maintain heightened awareness of safety issues throughout the property.
  • Stay informed about safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements.

Communication and Documentation:

  • Maintain open lines of communication with staff, departments, and upper management.
  • Adhere to all operational standards, policies, procedures, manuals, training materials, memos, and verbal instructions.
  • Maintain awareness of required documentation for employee files.
  • Attend relevant meetings as required.

Based on fluctuating operational demands and to exceed customer expectations, this position may require performing various functions not specifically outlined here. This role may also involve performing other tasks and duties as needed or directed.

Working Conditions/Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This position may require lifting up to 25 pounds daily.
