Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Lead to join our team at McCormack Baron Companies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the repair and maintenance of our apartment properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Carry out a range of repairs and maintenance tasks, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, appliance repair, painting, and other typical apartment repairs.
  • Team Support: Support the Maintenance Supervisor with daily work orders, unit turns, preventative maintenance, and other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Management staff.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to the dress code as established by management and use proper protective equipment when necessary, following safety procedures at all times.
  • Communication: Communicate with staff and residents in a professional manner, completing work orders manually and on the computer.
  • Maintenance Shop Management: Maintain and upkeep the maintenance shop, ensuring inventories of parts, tools, and supplies are accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Maintenance Knowledge: Must have maintenance knowledge in the areas of carpentry, plumbing, appliance, electrical, including electronic key systems, and other typical apartment repairs.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in resident maintenance is preferred, with experience leading a team.
  • Dependability: Dependability and reliability in following through with responsibilities are required.
  • Vehicle and Insurance: Must maintain a vehicle, hold a valid state driver's license, and have current insurance.
  • HVAC Certification: HVAC certification is highly preferred.
  • Availability: Must be available for emergency on-call rotation as required.
