The Role

At Living Room, we believe that the first impression is the most lasting. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the welcoming face of our club, ensuring that every member and guest feels immediately at home. This role is pivotal in setting the tone for an exceptional dining and social experience.

The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and maintaining an organized and efficient front desk. You will play a key role in ensuring our members and guests receive a warm welcome and excellent service throughout their visit.

  • Guest Reception: Greet all members and guests with a warm, friendly demeanor. Ensure they are promptly seated and their needs are anticipated.
  • Reservations Management: Handle reservations with accuracy, managing the reservation system to maximize table occupancy while maintaining a smooth flow of service.
  • Phone Management: Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, providing information on menus, hours of operation, and club amenities. Handle reservation inquiries and general questions with detailed knowledge and efficiency.
  • Seating Coordination: Work closely with the service team to ensure tables are prepared and guests are seated in a timely manner. Monitor the dining room to manage seating and guest flow effectively.
  • Member and Guest Relations: Build relationships with members and guests, remembering names and preferences to provide personalized service. Address any special requests or needs with care and attention.
  • Service Support: Assist the Food and Beverage team as needed, providing support to ensure service standards are met and exceeded. This may include helping with setup, clearing tables, or other tasks as required.
  • Positive Atmosphere: Create and maintain a welcoming, professional, and upbeat environment for both guests and colleagues. Contribute to a positive team spirit and cooperative work environment.
  • Warmly greet all members and guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
  • Accurately manage reservations, seating guests efficiently while maximizing table occupancy.
  • Answer high-volume phone lines and respond to inquiries with detailed knowledge and professionalism.
  • Coordinate with the service team to manage seating and guest flow.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with members and guests, providing personalized service.
  • Support the Food and Beverage team as needed to ensure seamless service.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for members and guests.
  • Understanding of the nuances of high-end hospitality and the importance of attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership qualities to train and mentor team members, ensuring consistency in service standards.
  • Experience in handling reservations and managing high-volume phone lines with professionalism.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with guests, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and adapt to the dynamic needs of the club.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end hospitality environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Proficiency in using reservation systems and basic computer skills.
